Grow>Cook>Eat expands, starting in Easter holidays

February 12, 2016 By Robin

Our Grow>Cook>Eat outdoor programme for children aged 7-11 will take place this year in every school holiday from Easter onwards, as well as in the form of a Saturday Club. Grow>Cook>Eat takes children on a playful and inventive journey to discover food – how to grow it, how to cook some of it and how food affects their bodies. The aim is to give children the knowledge that they need that will last for their lifetime.

The first Grow>Cook>Eat took place in summer 2014, commissioned by Havering Council’s Public Health Team. From last summer onwards, the programme is part-funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

We will have an Open Day for parents and children on Sunday March 13.
